The tourist office and the Compagnie des deux rives boat suggest you will lead you onto a unique experience of Vauban's works. Louis XIV had a three piece fort built to protect from "Brtitish invaders".
From April to June, and from September to October (Saturdays) either with your own family or with friends.
at 11:00am : a guided tour of the citadel to understand Vauban's conception about protecting the area
at 3:00pm : a boat trip with La compagnie des deux rives to get a different view about the bolt ant the other two forts (Fort Pâté and Fort Médoc)
From July to August (Tuesdays and Thursdays) either with your own family or with friends.
at 11:00am, 2:00pm or 5:00pm : a guided tour of the citadel to understand Vauban's conception about protecting the area
at 3:30pm : a boat trip with La compagnie des deux rives to get a different view about the bolt ant the other two forts (Fort Pâté and Fort Médoc)
